The market at the Tattersalls Derby Sale was especially strong this year, so we were delighted to land a horse of this quality at what we think will prove to be a bargain price. Chrisco is a really athletic gelding with size, scope, and exceptional movement and balance. He was top of our short list, and we were delighted when the hammer came down in our favour . His half sister by Doctor Dino (Doc Eti) is in training with Willie Mullins and very highly regarded. He will be joining his half sister at Closutton one he has completed his pre-training as Willie Mullins is his trainer elect. He has been broken and ridden since his acquisition, and we are delighted with his attitude. Once he has completed a short break he will start his full pre-training regime, before heading to Willie Mullins, where he is likely to be contesting bumpers in the first instance. Balko has a growing reputation as a sire, and his pedigree is laden with black type with most of the family being trained in France by Gab Leenders. Chrisco has all of the qualities we look for in our national hunt stores. We are incredibly excited to add him to our string and cannot wait to see him on a racetrack.
