Acquired from the Goff's Land Rover sale In June 2014.  An Caisteal Nuadh is a striking son of Scorpion, who is rapidly becoming one of the best young NH sires around. His racecourse debut came at Limerick in July 2016 where he was the easy winner of a bumper under Nina Carberry. He made his mark over hurdles when winning a maiden hurdle at Limerick in July 2017. We started the new year with his debut over fences when he finished a credible third behind Sutton Place, travelling well throughout the race but proving no match for the winner over the final couple of fences. We will find easier opportunities than his debut effort and he will be a better horse over fences than over hurdles, especially on better ground. Remains lightly raced as he has been difficult to train...

A really nice model of a horse who was lightly campaigned as a two-year old having only one run for experience at Newcastle. He ran at the same track in January acquitting himself well over a distance well short of his requirements. He will run on the flat this autumn and will be competitive once achieving a handicap mark. He hasn’t been asked many questions to date, and his future lies over hurdles. His dam was a winner over hurdles and Art of Diplomacy has enough scope and size to do well in juvenile hurdles. His schooling at home has provided plenty of encouragement and we are looking forward to seeing him jumping on the track this season.

Shantou ex Artic Native (Be My Native)

A talented individual who has plenty of ability but has been injury prone. Recovered from a cracked pelvis incurred in a point to point run in Ireland to win over both hurdles and fences. His latest time off came as the result of a tendon injury which kept him out for 2 years. Returned in May 2019 and ran in two chases at Bangor. Having run a good race on his return to finish a close third his next race came to soon only 17 days later, and he failed to repeat the performance. He has been on a short break and will return in the autumn to resume his chasing career. He is potentially well handicapped and there are races to be won when he is placed correctly.

Another of our juvenile hurdling prospects who followed the same route as Art of Diplomacy, running in the same two races at Newcastle. He has a great staying pedigree with the second dam having produced top national hunt sire Milan. He ran in a 1m 2f novices stakes at Doncaster at the beginning of August 2019, and was awarded a handicap mark of 67. There are races to be won off a workable mark, especially when stepped up further in trip. A good looking individual who is very athletic. His schooling at home has been very good and he is another that we are looking forward to in juvenile hurdles this autumn.

A real pocket rocket who despite his diminutive stature jumps fences beautifully. A three-time winner in point to points last season, progressing on every occasion. He had valid excuses when running in the Aintree point to point bumper, as he became very distressed on the journey to the track. Has shown enough ability to suggest he would be competitive under rules. A career in staying hurdles on northern tracks is under consideration for the coming season. His long term future will be a return to staying chases where his jumping is a major asset.

Backed up his early promise on the gallops when winning a decent 1 mile maiden at Haydock in October 2018. He did that with a bit to spare despite looking very green and edging across the track when pressed. A no show at Southwell where he hated the kickback. Runs in the colours of the  sporting John Blackburn with whom we shareseveral horses. Has developed both physically and mentally for his break and his work on the gallops  has been impressive. His seasonal reappearance at Pontefract can be discounted as he couldn’t get a run in the final stages. His jockey thinks he would have done rather well with a clear run. He will be heading over hurdles in the autumn, and his schooling suggests he will be well above average.

A stunning horse who came very close to making his debut in the spring. In the end he just kept growing, and his size persuaded us to wait for safe ground and he will be heading to the Twiston-Davies yard this autumn to start his career in bumpers. His sire Davidoff has produced top class winners from what proved to be very limited numbers. Fantastikas is a really athletic horse with a stride that covers a lot of ground. We consider him a top class prospect and cannot wait to see him on a racecourse.

A beautifully bred son of New Approach which you would expect as he was part of the Godolphin disposal. We were given first option on him after he was snapped up by David Easterby at the 2017 HIT sales.  He was highly regarded by his former owners, but eventually sent to the sales after a number of setbacks delayed his progress. Unfortunately, he sustained another tendon injury when making his debut for Imperial Racing in July 2017. He is currently on a long break and we will assess whether he has a future in racing when we see how the injury reacts to treatment.

Hasn’t set the world alight to date, but may do better now he has a handicap mark. His best run came at Thirsk in April 2019 when fourth 9¼ lengths behind Top Rank. He was a no show 15 days later at Wetherby, but has valid excuses and has had treatment for some physical issues since. Doesn’t seem to like cut in the ground so if he is going jumping it may well be in the summer months. Still early days and has some potential especially off his current mark.

Bought as a yearling, and has grown into a nice looking two year old. His full sister Archduchess is in training with Rae Guest and rated 67. She gets 1m 4f with ease and we this fellow was bought as we thought he would have the scope and stamina for jumping. He is in pre-training and will make his debut later this season. We will take the same approach as we did with last years two year olds. He will have a few runs for experience and then we will look to campaign him in flat handicaps before he goes jumping next autumn.

A talented performer who has been hindered by wind issues in his career so far. An operation to release a trapped epiglottis was only partially successful and he will need a little bit of tidy up surgery before resuming his career this autumn. Despite his issues he has demonstrated plenty of talent winning on only his second start at Wetherby. He earned an official rating of 117 over hurdles as a consequence of that win. Probably needed his last run at Chepstow. He will spend the season running in handicap hurdles before heading over fences next season. We are confident there are more races to be won from his current mark, a nice prospect for the coming season.

The only reason Imperial Alcazar has not won a race is the standard of the races he has run in. Bumpers were never going to be his thing as ideally, he wants softer ground, a longer trip and some obstacles to navigate. His run in the listed bumper at Ascot saw him finish three lengths in front of The Glancing Queen giving her 3lbs. She subsequently ran 5th in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham and won the Grade 2 Mares Bumper at Aintree. Imperial Alcazar is very talented and will be running in the better hurdle races this autumn. His schooling at home has been of high quality and he will be not be long in getting his head in front.

A gorgeous sizeable athletic filly. That is backed up by a top-class pedigree, being sired Group 1 winner and Irish Derby winner Fame And Glory out of a quality national hunt dam line headed by her damsire Oscar. She is also a half sister to the 151 rated hurdler Off You Go. Adapted well to life at Cullentra House under the care of Gordon Elliot. The start of her racing career has been delayed by the lack of suitable ground. She is expected to perform well in bumpers before she goes jumping this autumn. She has plenty of size and scope for that task, and is an exciting prospect.

Winner of three of his four races under rules. Broke the track record at Carlisle when beating Sole Pretender by 3¼ lengths. (Sole Pretender won on the next three occasions before finishing 5th in the Galway Hurdle off a mark of 147). Followed up by winning a Novice Hurdle at Newcastle impressively. His season was cut short by recurring issues with sore shins, which were pin fired at the end of the season. He will definitely get three miles and will improve again for a step up in trip and a fence. Will return this season to start his novice chasing career and we are hoping he will be contesting some of the better races throughout the season.

A good-looking individual who has taken time to mature. Ran with credit in four hurdle races last season travelled well in conceding weight all round on this handicap debut and did not quite see it out. His last run at Perth was encouraging as he travelled best before not quite seeing out the race. The form looks solid and on the basis of that run he will be capable of taking a decent handicap hurdle or two before he goes chasing. He has had a wind operation which will help him see out his races, and will return in the early autumn to avoid extremes of underfoot conditions. Will be seen at his best once chasing.

A large imposing horse who is marking time until he sees a fence. Despite that he ran two good races in bumpers last season, finishing second to the highly rated Ask For Glory on his debut at Cheltenham. Didn’t quite reach that standard next time out when finishing 5th at the same course, but the race has worked out well with the 4th and 6th horses winning decent bumpers next time out. Recruited from the 2018 Goffs Land Rover sale. A top class future chasing prospect, with size, athleticism and plenty of scope. Add to that the fact he is by a top National Hunt sire Shantou out of a proven brood mare by the most successful national hunt damsire Bob Back. A full brother to Themanfrom Minella and Fulham Road. Showed plenty in his pre-training last season and we were sorely tempted to run him in a four year old point to point. A nice individual who has suffered more than his fair share of injury and bad luck. After a short time in pre-training he developed an issue on his front joints as the bone began to suffer from progressive deformity. Remarkably he was still able to pursue a career under rules and spent last season working towards a handicap mark. Won a trainee hurdle in the process, but ran out of his required soft ground in the spring and was turned out for the summer. Capable of landing a handicap hurdle, and we can then consider where we go next.

One of our recruits from the Tattersalls Derby Sale in June. By top sire Fame And Glory from a strong Definite Article dam line. A real athlete who impressed at the sales and represents real value given the current inflated market. He has settled into his pre-training well having been broken and ridden away. He is now enjoying a short break before starting his preparation for a racing career. A really nice filly by Poets Voice that caught the eye on a visit to the Mick Easterby yard. She has good presence, looks very athletic and has a generous touch of the chestnut temperament thrown in. She is a sturdy individual who was always going to be a better three-year-old. Despite her size she made three appearances as a 2-year-old, including finishing second at Newcastle. Cost 85,000 guineas at the Tattersalls, and was bought to run in the best staying flat handicaps. A really handsome athletic individual, with plenty of size and scope. Has had some physical issues and a small wind operation since, and is now back in pre-training. Won a 7 runner maiden at Down Royal by ½ length staying on strongly and suggesting he will be at his best at trips of 1m 4f and further. This followed two quiet runs, where he made eye catching headway once the race was effectively over. A sizeable filly we like a lot. You can put a line through her three runs on the flat today as they were on unsuitable ground and she has been very immature. Made some good late headway on her latest run at Southwell, where she hated the kick back but appreciated the give in the surface. She
has a very workable mark of 57 and is much better than he her form to date. She will next be seen over a longer trip on a softer surface. Another who will be going juvenile hurdling in the autumn and is likely to start in the fillies only hurdle at Aintree in the first week of December.

Another son of the late Archipenko with a pedigree underpinned by stamina on the dam side. Has taken time to mature, but is catching up fast. Most of his siblings are being campaigned over 1m 2f+, and given his sire he should stay beyond 2 miles. Will start off in maidens and novice events at the back end of the season to continue his education. Then more actively campaigned as a three year old with an eventual jumping career in mind.
